The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce calls on Government to delay Implementation of Audit Requirement

The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation is calling on the government to delay the implementation of the requirement for audits for businesses over $5m for 12 months. The requirement, which was passed in the 2023 budget will require companies with turnover above $5m to produce audited accounts by April2024.

BCA will begin issuing licenses to contractors, says president

The Bahamian Contractors Association (BCA) is no longer waiting for the government to issue licenses to Bahamian contractors, the association's President Leonard Sands announced yesterday. The BCA will begin to issue the licenses themselves within the next two weeks.
